What is involved in an inspection?

During an inspection, we will:

• Discuss the current car seat installation you drive in daily.

• Remove and re-install the car seat, if necessary.

• Discuss how to get a proper installation every time so you can feel confident installing your seat every time the need arises (more often than you might think!).

• Discuss best practices around car safety for children.

How long does it take?

An inspection can take between 45 minutes to 2+ hours depending on the complexity, the number of children, vehicle type, etc.

What if I’m not strong?

It’s a common misconception that you need to be muscular to install a car seat. I am not a big person and I assure you – I can install a tight car seat! There are different options for installing a car seat in most vehicles and we will make sure you can install your car seat correctly EVERY time you go to do it – with or without a CPST by your side!

What should I bring?

To ensure an optimal installation, please bring with you:

• A manual for your car seat

• A manual for your vehicle

• Ideally, the child(ren) of the car seat(s) so we can ensure the harness is correctly adjusted

• Even better, if a second person to help entertain the children while other education points are being addressed
